You assume that our hatred of each other would die with our acceptance of such truths. Has it never occured to you that religious extremism is merely an expression of our inherent selfishness? Human beings would find other reasons to slaughter each other were there no Gods. We would find other "absolute truths" upon which to base our hatreds. We would return to eugenics, or a more brutal utilitarianism. Darwinism is a great framework for biology and science, but when applied to morality and society, it shows a dark side. Natural selection is all to easily applied to the reinforcement of hierarchies based on current hegemonies. (The fittest are those who have most effectively monopolized the resources.)

Religious extremism and stupidity are not the disease, but symptoms of a far more profound disorder.

Dude, it's called a tree topper or a chainsaw. haha. I give it a couple of years and the cost of putting solar on the roof is going to drop like crazy and you'd have to be crazy, or unable, not to put them up there.

There is a new world wide web emerging right before our eyes. It is a global energy network and, like the internet, it will change our culture, society and how we do business. More importantly, it will alter how we use, transform and exchange energy.

Enough solar energy falls on the surface of the earth every 40 minutes to meet 100 percent of the entire world's energy needs for a full year. There is no energy supply problem, there is an energy distribution problem -- and the emerging solution is a new world wide web of electricity.

I totally agree with you. I just wanted to know where you got the image for the above post. I wanted to make a banner in support of evolution to put up on my blog and was wondering about copyright issues.

Do you own the image? If so, can I get permission to use it? I'll credit you of course.
Let me know.

Thanks.
