If you need a web site for your company or even just a snazzy personal one, I recommend my friends at WideNet Consulting. I used to work side by side with their lead developer at a previous job. We have been friends since the seventh grade! We were in the high school marching band together for crying out loud! I could say I taught him everything he knows, but in fact he has actually surpassed me in web development knowledge. I remember introducing him to server-side scripting when we talked our boss into buying us the “Beginner’s Guide to PHP” book so we could create that company’s intranet.
So remember, if you need a website design company, call my friends at WideNet. Or visit their website at the address below! Make sure you tell them Josh P sent you!

Monica and I went to an antique mall on July 4th to look for an iron headboard and footboard for the bed and found this. It was sitting open in the middle of one of their booths with a sign hanging on it that said, “Everything in this booth 50% off!” I asked one of the guys that worked there if it worked and he said, “I think it does let me get the stuff for it.” He went to the front and got a bag that had the hand crank, some needles, and the orginal instruction manual from 1912! He stuck the crank in the side, gave it a few turns and flipped a small switch that mechanically operates a brake for the turntable and it started spinning. We swung the arm around and sat it on the record that was on display and it started playing wonderfully! It was kind of quiet so I looked for some sort of volume control to hear it over the mall’s speaker system’s music. I opened the top two doors in the front and it was so loud I had to shut them again! The sound actually goes into the needle arm and into a “horn” in the cabinet below! By opening and shutting the doors you can control the volume from quiet to loud! I think we broke one of the main springs – it has two – by winding it too much but it still works. You have to crank it halfway through one side of a record to keep it from slowing down, but I got in touch with some people in Michigan that actually repair and restore these old phonographs. I may take out the motor and send it to him so he can fix it and we can hand this down through even more generations to come. It is very exciting and nice to have. It also had three, leather-bound albums that held 8-10 records each. We went to another antique mall yesterday and found three more record albums full of Victor Victrola records. It is very neat to hear and see and talk about having. We are proud of our really great find and we got it for less than half of what people ask for old, busted versions of the same thing!

Church of Reality
If it’s real, we believe in it. My favorite part about this religion is that it’s not based on ancient fiction and dogma but actual reality and the here-and-now. Since the core beliefs aren’t based on fiction with no evidence requiring faith with no proof, they are free to change like an open source religion. I think it is very important that all of humanity work together as a whole to better the future for generations to come. As of now, we seem to be spiteful, judgmental, greedy, hateful, bigoted, divisive, food-holes that are only here on earth temporarily until they can go to heaven to spend the rest of eternity not having to worry about much. The Tree of Knowledge idea is a great one that needs to be pushed in schools and universities. It is what really separates humans from the rest of the animal kingdom. I, for one, welcome this new religion with open arms – and an open mind! From now on when people ask what religion I belong to I will answer with, “I am a realist.”

Click to Give @ The Hunger Site
You can give a cup of food to starving people every single day just by clicking the big “Click here to give” button on this page. They give all their advertising revenues to charity and they show exactly how much you helped when you click. Today I gave 1.1 cups of food with a single click! Also, don’t forget to bookmark this site and click it every day! There are other, similar charities linked at the top with tabs like literacy, child health, breast cancer, rainforest, and animal rescue. They also have online stores where a portion of the purchase price goes to charity. I’m making a purchase right now!

GM to close truck plants, shift to fuel-efficient cars – Jun. 3, 2008
Why doesn’t GM just retool these plants to make the EV1? Or better yet, make the EV2 and EV3 – now with better range, options, recharge times, and price! With gas prices like they are they would not be able to keep up with demand for these 100% electric cars. They would easily make one billion dollars overnight! Why can I think of stuff like this but not them? It’s a shame really. Now I’m mad again. I’m leaving before I punch a hole in my cube wall.

Obama’s In Control: No More Lobbyist Contributions To Democratic Party – Politics on The Huffington Post
America, wake up and smell the change a commin’. It’s high time we all grow the F up and vote for someone who is smart and knows not only what the average American wants for our country but also knows how to get the government to do it in a fair and just manner. I am going to volunteer for Barack Obama and actually go door to door and call people on the phone and let them know why Barack Obama is the best choice for our children’s future. It is very important that everyone on this planet watch this video all the way through. It not only shows some of the many facts that support evolution but also shows why intelligent design is so wrong. It is the year 2008 for crying out loud. The human race should know by now that killing each other for ignorant reasons is just wrong. I, for one, will be working evolution into as many conversations as possible from now on – as long as I can remember to do so!

Garbage Problem? Vaporize It., Florida County Plans To Ditch The Dump With Lightning Power – CBS News
Solve two problems with one solution! Basically instead of burning garbage with fire you disassociate every atom and molecule using electric plasma arcs. Then the gases can be used as a fuel in cars and the waste heat can create steam to turn turbines. It uses one third of the energy it creates to run itself so the extra gases and electricity can be sold back to pay for itself. As the world population grows we are making more garbage but are at the same time running out of space for landfills to bury our garbage. As more people build houses and cities sprawl out exponentially the energy needs of the globe are increasing as well. This solution solves both problems. I, for one, welcome this new technology and give it “Josh’s Seal of Approval”.

StarTech – Environmental Corporation
This company has created a plasma converter. This basically does what the Mr. Fusion did for the DeLorean time machine at the end of the first Back to the Future movie. It turns ordinary household garbage into electricity! It also has the added benefits of reclaiming all the precious metals and plastics chemicals that can be recycled and reused to make more things that we can throw away and make more electricity. As long as you keep feeding it garbage it will make not only enough power to drive itself but also create gases and fuel for your car, home, etc. I hope this technology really takes off! What do you think about this?

For all the skeptics here is proof: http://www.businessweek.com/ap/financialnews/D90148180.htm
Monica told me that we invaded for their oil from the very first discussion about it. There really is no war going on. We simply invaded the sovereign country of Iraq and told them their best bet would be to sell their oil to the highest bidder. I understand this is a free market and everyone should get the most out of their resources but at what cost to others? America will probably sink under the financial trouble the Iraq invasion has cost and IS STILL COSTING us with money and lives. Anyone who still believes we are fighting terrorists in Iraq have been nicely brainwashed by the “system”. I feel a bit like Morpheus from The Matrix telling everyone that they need to wake up and see the truth. The truth in this case is not that humans have been turned into power sources for the machines, but that our government has been usurped by the rich and powerful who’s only goals are to be even more rich and powerful. While everyone else is paying closer to $4 per gallon of gas, I am going to do more to help support www.pluginamerica.com and their ideas for a sustainable and CLEANER future with electric transportation fueled by energy created here in the USA or with solar converters on the rooftops of buildings and the car itself. If anyone has a better idea for a more sustainable and completely clean future of transportation than Plug In America’s please leave me a comment and explain it.
